Jean-Claude Jalloux, famous restaurateur in Apremont, France, where he owns the La Grange aux Loups restaurant, started in 1986 La Confrérie du Sabre d'Or, where you could learn sable champagne, as you did at Napoleon's time. In France, a copy of the infantry table is used in the army of Napoleon. Here, this type of saber "sabrage" many bottles of champagne when the army clung. But the party ended in Waterloo in June 1815 with Napoleon's defeat, where the victories divided the wizards among themselves.
The sap was then used as an infantry in the Prussian army. By the rearmament of the Danish army in 1854, the saber was awarded in Livgarden. Here it is still in use under the designation M / 1854. Antique wizards and bayonets are also very suitable. and maybe a little "more fun than the copy".
After many years of tradition, Jean-Claude Jalloux decided to introduce it again.
In the past years, a myriad of people has learned to sable. Initially, only La Grange aux Loups had the right to give diplomas and orders, but since then, Confrérie du Sabre d'Or has become very big and today counts hundreds of local clubs with more than 34,000 members worldwide:
Australie, Belgique, Cambodge, Canada, Danemark, Angleterre, France, Polynésie française, Irlande, Italie, Japon, Chine, Pays-Bas, Luxembourg, Malaisie, Maurice, Maldives, Mexique, Roumanie, Singapour, Suisse, Suède, Thaïlande, République tchèque , Allemagne, États-Unis.
Once a year, the international Grand Chapitre, which usually takes place in France, is held alternately in different cities in France, which makes it an extraordinary experience for those arriving to visit France. It has been held in Paris, Reims, Deauville. There members and ambassadors from all over the world meet for a wonderful festive evening, with ad libitum champagne and very nice menus.
At this annual celebration, new members will be admitted, and members will rise in degrees. The size of the bottles is related to the height of the degrees. You can also choose to be admitted and upgraded in your own country, which you decide on.
The champagne order has now existed for over 32 years in France and in Denmark, which were among the first countries to be admitted. The famous event girl, Fie Adams, was the first Ambassador to the Confrérie du Sabre d'Or’s for Denmark. The Philippine Consul has also been Ambassador for a number of years. Today, Marianne Sass Petersen is Ambassador for the Department of Confrérie du Sabre d'Or Denmark.
